What’s new in Lumio: April 2024

We know schools and districts are looking for ways to streamline teacher workflows and save them time. This is why we are excited to share that Lumio has launched two new features within the Spark plan, co-editing and LMS integration with Canvas. Let’s dive in!

Co-editing in Shared Libraries

Co-editing lets educators share, borrow, and collaborate on content within Shared Libraries in real-time. This collaborative approach encourages educators to leverage one another’s knowledge and creativity, saving time and energy.

Co-editing also allows educators to innovate lessons and learn from one another. Sharing wisdom in this way helps teachers refine their teaching methods, and ultimately, improve student outcomes. The variety of perspectives brought together through co-editing fosters a culture of continuous learning and mutual growth among educators.

LMS integration with Canvas

Also live is LMS integration with Canvas. This initial integration provides a single sign-on and an embedded Lumio experience in Canvas, with more functionality to come.

The Lumio app in Canvas is also available for students, allowing access to Lumio’s interactive lessons directly within Canvas, reducing the need to navigate multiple platforms.

Lumio’s app in Canvas combines Canvas’ organizational tools with the powerful active learning features of Lumio, increasing options for effortless engagement.
