Integration with SMART Notebook software
Create dynamic questions and assessments by accessing SMART Response directly in SMART Notebook software. With one touch, you can deliver assessments on the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. You can also show assessment results on a SMART Notebook page and add comments in digital ink.
Question variety
Ask different types of questions, including true or false, yes or no, multiple choice or text based.
Import existing questions
Import your own questions from Microsoft Word (Windows only) or a PDF (Mac only).
Questions integrated into training sessions
Compile tests for formative and summative assessment, prepare quizzes or exams in advance and ask spontaneous questions to gauge trainees’ comprehension at any point during training.
Intelligent grading
Choose the range of acceptable answers for a question, allowing for multiple representations of the correct answer when trainees provide answers for more complex questions.
Display test results immediately
Automatically summarize trainee responses as a pie chart or bar graph. You can also view assessment progress before all trainees have submitted final answers.
Anonymous mode
Allow your trainees to respond with complete confidentiality.
Built-in gradebook
Use the built-in gradebook to track performance and record results, which are automatically collected and saved.
Teacher Tools
Create training class lists or import existing class lists (.xls format), and set up, conduct and manage tests and quizzes – all from one location.
Export assessment results
Export results in Microsoft Excel format (.xls) or text format (.csv). Customize text files by choosing the fields required for the report, including question-level data.
Weighted assessment
Assign different point values to individual questions within a test or quiz. You can also adjust trainee results in the built-in gradebook.
Tagging
Tag trainee names and assessment questions with keywords to track specific characteristics that will help you measure and evaluate trainee performance.
Privacy setting
Use the privacy mode in the system’s built-in gradebook to ensure sensitive trainee identification details and test scores aren’t seen by others.
Multiple print options
Print quizzes as handouts so trainees can complete them at their own pace, or add comments to completed tests that can be printed and used later as study guides.
Radio frequency (RF) technology
Experience the convenience of the system’s RF technology, which provides a reliable and convenient wireless connection between the trainee remotes and central receiver. You don’t need a line of sight to deliver questions or submit answers, and the remote has a range of up to 100' (30 m).
Easy connection and installation
Connect the receiver to a computer using a USB connection. The receiver can be either mounted on a wall or placed on a desk. No extra power supply is required.
Convenient maintenance features
View power status through LED lights on the receiver. You can also see whether information has been sent or received.
Intuitive on-screen links
Proceed easily through every task using clear links and simple prompts that guide you step by step.
