Active, remote participation

Remote staff, such as those in a home office, become active participants when the interactive pen display is combined with a distance conferencing solution. The accurate writing experience that SMART Podium provides enables users to write notes over files in digital ink, view remote screens and add their own contributions to the meeting or presentation – and everyone can see and participate.

Dynamic presentations

SMART Podium lets you control presentation material while facing your audience, so you can focus on keeping people engaged. SMART Podium enables you to work from anywhere in the room and display content on your SMART Board interactive whiteboard or flat panel or a large screen. Enhanced integration with Microsoft PowerPoint presenter view allows you to see and control your speaking notes while the audience is shown only the presentation slides.

DViT technology

SMART Podium features SMART’s proprietary DViT (Digital Vision Touch) technology. With cameras incorporated in the bezel to detect pen touch and movement, DViT technology provides a responsive, accurate writing experience.

Tethered pen

Control your computer from SMART Podium and comfortably write over any application with the battery-free tethered pen. Because the pen is the point of contact on the interactive screen, you can rest your hand on the screen while writing notes. You can rest the pen in the magnetic pen rest when it’s not in use.

Elegant design

Designed in the same aesthetic tones as the SMART Board 8000 series interactive flat panel, SMART Podium features a slim profile, minimized bezel and reduced overall footprint. It will complement virtually any workspace.

Console buttons

Access the right-click button, select pen colors or the eraser, or launch the On-Screen Keyboard, Screen Capture tool or SMART Meeting Pro software. The buttons are illuminated for use in dimly lit rooms. They are preconfigured but can be programmed to suit the shortcuts you use most.

SMART Meeting Pro software

Included in every Freestorm system, SMART Meeting Pro software offers advanced collaboration tools, virtually unlimited whiteboarding space and the ability to capture images and write over any application using SMART Ink. This intuitive software is also integrated with Microsoft Exchange to streamline your meetings and allow quick distribution of meeting notes.

SMART GoWire auto-launch cable

Connect a guest laptop to the display and you can run SMART Meeting Pro software with no installation required. It’s perfect for workspaces that are not network-enabled or where guest laptops are frequently connected.

Integration with Microsoft PowerPoint presenter view

Maintain a private view of your presentation material, including all slides and speaking notes, while controlling what your audience sees on the screen or interactive whiteboard or flat panel. Use the controls on SMART Podium to switch ink colors, move back and forth between slides and write speaking notes as you present.

Simple installation

Connect your computer, SMART Podium and projector using USB and a DVI or VGA cable, so all devices will display the same image simultaneously.

HDCP compliant

SMART Podium is high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) compliant, which ensures that HDCP-encrypted content can be displayed.
