Changes to SMART Notebook licensing
Effective with the SMART Notebook 2014 release, each purchase of SMART Notebook Classroom software, or a SMART Notebook hardware product bundle entitles you to install SMART Notebook software on up to 4 devices in a classroom. If you install the 2014 release, each SMART Notebook Classroom software license supports a maximum of 4 installations associated with one classroom. Customers who have a SMART Notebook software site license are not subject to this limitation.
How can I tell if my software has a valid SMART Notebook Advantage maintenance license?
To check whether you have a valid maintenance license you can enter your software product key in our product key look-up tool, which displays your maintenance expiry date if you have a maintenance license.
What if I purchased my hardware on or after April 15, 2013 but my license key doesn't have a maintenance entitlement?
If you purchased your SMART hardware bundle on or after April 15, 2013 but there isn't a maintenance license associated with your software license key, you can visit the SMART product registration page to see if you're eligible for a replacement license key.
