
Leading IT company now offering SMART products and services as part of digital classroom solution
ATLANTA, Georgia --- June 26, 2007 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the expansion of its authorized reseller network for the education market to include HP. Under the companies’ agreement, the HP sales team will offer the full SMART product portfolio, anchored by the market-leading SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard, to education customers in the United States. HP has long-standing relationships with K–12 districts and higher education institutions and considerable expertise to accelerate the adoption of SMART products in those districts and institutions. HP is among the world’s largest IT companies and the only major hardware manufacturer with which SMART is working to supply SMART products and services to education customers in the United States. The agreement is effective immediately.
The addition of HP to its reseller base is one of a number of initiatives SMART is undertaking to better meet the increasing customer demand for, and support of, complete classroom technology solutions. Other initiatives include SMART Classroom Solutions, the SMART Learning Marketplace and an increased investment in field sales, education consultants, services and training.

Current channel
No changes will be made to SMART’s existing authorized reseller network in the United States in breadth, role or terms.
