
Dan Rodrigue to optimize operations to meet growing global demand for SMART products
CALGARY, Alberta --- August 2, 2007 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Dan Rodrigue to the position of vice president, operations. Rodrigue assumes the executive role for SMART’s assembly, supply chain, quality and distribution worldwide. A veteran business-operations professional, Rodrigue leads and manages the direction of product assembly execution and oversight of company-wide facilities. He is responsible for day-to-day plant operations, contract manufacturing activities, supply chain management and the facilities, security, health, safety and quality-control functions. Rodrigue fills an essential role on the executive management team, as the company continues its rapid global expansion.
Rodrigue brings to SMART more than 20 years’ experience in operations management. In his most recent role, he oversaw the design, development and ongoing effectiveness of the global supply chain for a new communications technology. He has also held various senior positions in the telecommunications industry, including directing new business solutions, production, plant operations, quality and repair operations, and supply and demand management. Rodrigue holds an MBA, specializing in managing financial resources, and a BSc in mechanical engineering.
