Version 2.0 of Senteo interactive response system available in September
CALGARY, ALBERTA --- May 27, 2008 --- SMART Technologies announces that a significant upgrade to the Senteo™ interactive response system will be available in September 2008. In version 2.0, extensive improvements to the tracking, reporting and analysis functions have been made, and teachers will have access to a comprehensive new gradebook. Version 2.0 integrates seamlessly with Notebook™ collaborative learning software and enables teachers to easily add questions to lesson activities. Existing Senteo customers can upgrade to version 2.0 at no charge.
The Senteo interactive response system 2.0 increases one-to-one interaction in the classroom by enabling teachers to survey each student. Enhanced tracking functions include a full-featured gradebook that keeps a record of each student’s results on all in-class assignments. Teachers can sort, organize and monitor student grades and run detailed reports. The system enables names to be tagged with keywords that indicate core attributes, such as gender and language spoken. Teachers also have access to several thousand Senteo question sets that are correlated to state standards on SMART's education solutions website. Assessment questions created by a third party can easily be integrated into Notebook software.

The Senteo interactive response system is available in packs of 24 and 32 remotes, with suggested education pricing of US$1,599 and US$1,999, respectively. Additional remotes can also be purchased in packs of five or individually, and a single receiver is available to accommodate different class sizes.
