SMART announces three new directors

Appointments drive delivery of high-quality services and support for customers

CALGARY, Alberta --- July 30, 2009 --- SMART Technologies announces the appointment of three new directors within the services department. Vin Seunath has joined SMART as director, training and professional development. Donnovan Simon and Glenn McCormack have been promoted to director, sales support, and director, customer services, respectively. Each of these roles is integral to driving and maintaining a high level of service for SMART’s customers, staff and authorized resellers worldwide. Seunath, Simon and McCormack are all based in Calgary, Canada, and will report to Sandra Coates, vice president, services.

The new directors bring extensive experience to SMART’s senior management team. Seunath, as the director, training and professional development, is responsible for developing and executing SMART’s global training strategy for corporate and education customers. Seunath is a certified professional in learning and performance and holds a master of distance education and an advanced graduate diploma in education technology. He is presently completing his PhD in education, specializing in global training and development. Seunath brings more than 20 years’ experience in education, learning and development to his role at SMART, including senior positions with companies in the learning and development field. Simon has been with SMART for three years and was previously senior manager, sales support. He holds an MBA and undergraduate degrees in information technology and communications and has more than 15 years’ experience in management and the telecommunications sector. As director, sales support, Simon is responsible for all global sales support functions, including developing models to enhance the support provided to SMART’s authorized reseller channel. McCormack joined SMART in November 2008 as senior manager, customer services. He holds an MBA and bachelor of commerce degree in international business. McCormack has more than 12 years of contact center management experience and previously held senior positions with major technology and media corporations. As director, customer services, McCormack is responsible for technical support, return merchandize authorizations, service parts, field services, customer service, workforce management and optimization groups, and global support networks.
