Software update improves installation and increases Mac usability
CALGARY, Alberta --- May 4, 2009 --- SMART Technologies announces its latest service pack for SMART Notebook 10 software and SMART Response assessment software. This software update includes a variety of improvements for Mac users, including greatly increased ease-of-use for Flash® and other animation features in SMART Notebook. The service pack also has improvements for Windows® and Linux® operating system users. Currently, there are over one million SMART Notebook 10 activations in more than 175 countries worldwide.
The service pack includes an installation program that makes it easier for SMART Notebook and SMART Response software updates to be made. When software updates are available, the installation program will notify the user, ask if updates should be made and install them for the user automatically. The installation program will also notify users if a particular service pack needs to be installed before an update can be made. For example, if a user has both SMART Notebook and SMART Response software, the installation program may inform the user to download a particular SMART Response service pack so it will work optimally with a SMART Notebook update.
