They all have a wide-format aspect ratio, so they’re compatible with widescreen computers and projectors.
You can also scale the 16:9 aspect ratio of the interactive pen display to work with the products with 4:3 or 16:10 aspect ratio you may already own. The SMART Podium ID422w interactive pen display connects to a computer and projector, and it’s an effective way to deliver dynamic, engaging presentations. It has high-definition resolution so images are clearer and brighter. And, you can project everything you do onto a big screen so everyone can see.
You can bring your presentation on a USB drive, plug it in and get lectures started right away. The 22" (55.8 cm) display screen becomes an interactive workspace where you can control software applications, highlight information and access the Internet. The widescreen SMART Podium offers 20 percent more workspace than the standard model of interactive display. You can also connect the SMART Podium to other multimedia devices, such as a DVD player and document camera, and control everything from one location.
Because the interactive pen display is compatible with Microsoft Office applications, you can write in digital ink over PowerPoint or Excel documents and save your notes as a permanent part of the file. You can then save your notes and send the updated lecture to your students after class.

The 685ix integrated system combines a widescreen SMART Board interactive whiteboard, integrated ultra-short-throw projector and extended control panel that makes it easy to control other multimedia devices in the classroom, such as a document camera or DVD player. The SMART Board 690 interactive whiteboard is compatible with wide-format projectors. Both the 690 and 685ix are available with either SMART Notebook collaborative learning software or SMART Meeting Pro software.
