Emilio Bernabei poised to accelerate global software market position
CALGARY, Alberta --- April 25, 2007 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Emilio Bernabei to the position of director, software and content market development. In this newly developed position, Bernabei will provide strong leadership and focus on key products, key players, distribution channels and go-to-market strategies. Bernabei’s leadership will further develop the company’s global software and content market position during a period of significant growth. He is an accomplished businessman with a successful track record and extensive experience in international marketing, business development and product management.
Bernabei comes to SMART from a leading global software company based in Austin, Texas, where he held the position of director for worldwide product management. In this role, he oversaw product portfolios serving over ten thousands customers in more than 150 countries. He has also held senior management positions with global technology organizations in Silicon Valley. Throughout his 17-year career, Bernabei has developed and led new product launches and sustainable market growth strategies. He has in-depth knowledge of data infrastructure software as a service-delivery and broadcast-quality videoconferencing and collaboration technology. Bernabei’s insight will allow SMART to expand its customer solutions in multiple areas.
