New collaboration solution delivers enhanced visual collaboration for business users
CALGARY, Alberta --- July 25, 2011 --- SMART Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SMT) (TSX: SMA), a leading provider of collaboration solutions, announces a global agreement with Alcatel-Lucent. Under the agreement, SMART’s business products are integrated with Alcatel-Lucent’s My Teamwork™ multimedia, multiparty business communications solution to provide a new visual collaboration solution for enterprise meeting spaces. The integrated solution is designed to deliver improved employee engagement and better customer service while reducing costs for true collaborative visual communications.
My Teamwork offers presence-based multimedia communications using instant messaging (IM), telephony, audio and video conferencing, and Web collaboration, supporting both planned and ad hoc interaction. It enables users to collaborate remotely from anywhere in the world, enhancing productivity and reducing a company’s carbon footprint. Products covered by the agreement include the wall-mounted SMART Board™ 685ix interactive whiteboard system, featuring an integrated, ultra-short-throw SMART UX60 projector and SMART GoWire™ auto-launch cable with SMART Meeting Pro™ 2.2 software. The integrated solution is available globally from authorized Alcatel-Lucent resellers.
