Product life-cycle management
SMART ensures complete product life-cycle management by developing environmentally compatible products and assembly processes. We comply with international environmental regulations, and adhere to product end-of-life practices, such as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), and material selection legislation, such as Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
Product recycling
We encourage you to recycle SMART products through our extensive network of authorized resellers or a SMART-approved recycling company.

Customer impact
SMART offers our customers a wide range of education and corporate solutions that enable real-time collaboration over distance, lessening the need for travel and reducing their carbon footprint.
Assembly and facilities management
At SMART, we quantify and effectively manage all environmental aspects of our operations and facilities, including our headquarters, which was constructed to a Gold certified standard under the LEED guidelines.
Supplier environmental management
We track and manage the environmental performance of all members in our supply chain, both upstream to the suppliers of SMART components and finished goods, and downstream to our logistics and warehousing providers.
Responsible suppliers
SMART requires that its global network of direct suppliers comply with international standards and laws regarding the use of child labor. SMART monitors such compliance through a formal supplier qualification process as well as periodic audits and site visits of its direct suppliers.
Staff culture
At SMART, we focus on fostering environmental awareness in our everyday practices by educating our staff and helping them reduce their overall environmental footprint.
