SMART Notebook and SMART Response training certification

If you or your organization provide training on SMART products consider SMART Certification Training. Certification Training goes beyond the basics with extensive hands-on training that enables you to train others effectively. The credentials you will receive give you the required skills to deliver high-quality training for SMART Board interactive whiteboards and the SMART Response interactive response system.

Unless otherwise indicated, all events are delivered using the latest version of SMART Notebook software and the Microsoft Windows® operating system.

Benefits of SMART certification training

Upon completion of the course and final approval from the SMART Certification Trainer, you will receive the following benefits:

• Special listing on the SMART website as a SMART Certified Trainer
• Access to the SMART Certified Trainer logo for marketing materials
• A certified letter and certificate stating you have completed the certification process
• Official SMART certificates to hand out to participants in your SMART training sessions
• Other resources created to enhance your training presentations
• A digital copy of the SMART Notebook Intermediate and SMART Response learner workbooks – the learner's reference tools during training sessions
• Digital copies of the SMART Notebook and SMART Response facilitator's guides – the comprehensive guides for delivering SMART Notebook and SMART Response training sessions

What to expect

• A comprehensive review of the SMART Training Session Facilitator's Guide, providing a module-by-module walk-through of a SMART training session, complete with instructions on how to convey key points
• An opportunity to role-play, practice sections of a SMART training session and receive personal feedback from a SMART Certification Trainer
• An explanation of support materials and services available from SMART to help you stay ahead of the curve on product knowledge
• A maximum of 15 participants to maintain a hands-on, interactive learning environment

Pre-session requirements

• Applicants must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems or Macintosh computers
• Participants are required to complete a Notebook Beginner training course before you will be able to register for this course. If you have any questions about this course please visit smarttech.com/contacttraining.
• Certification candidates are also required to bring a laptop computer with the most current SMART Notebook and SMART Response software already installed, complete with any updates or services packages

Post-certification and ongoing requirements

• All participants must successfully complete an online certification assessment for both Notebook and Response
• All participants must also submit a sample of their training after the session for final approval
• As part of the quality assurance process, SMART Certified Trainers can utilize the online feedback forms to report their annual training numbers and quality
• SMART Certified Trainers may be required to successfully complete an annual online assessment to maintain their designation

SMART Notebook/Response Combo events schedule

Register for one of the SMART Notebook/Response Combo events using the SMART Learning Space.

To register with a purchase order please follow the instructions below.

1. Create an account in the SMART Learning Space if you do not already have one.
2. Send in a copy of your purchase order through smarttech.com/contacttraining or fax 1.403.806.1256, Attention: Training Services. In the body of the purchase order, please make sure you include the names and email addresses of the participant(s), as well as the date, location and type of training. We will process the purchase order and register each participant.

We do not guarantee seats in the events until the purchase orders have been processed, which can take up to 72 hours. Each participant will receive a confirmation email once their purchase order is processed.
