What to expect
The SMART Certified Interactive Teacher program enables teachers to optimize SMART interactive products in the classroom and ensures the best possible learning outcomes for their students. Courses are offered on a variety of SMART products, and schedules are flexible so that learners can choose components according to preference and proficiency. Each course includes an assessment delivered through the SMART Learning Space (SLS). To achieve certification, participants must also pass a final, cumulative assessment.
How you'll qualify
To complete the core component of the program, participants must take the SMART Notebook™ Software Training for SMART Board™ Users Level 2, and one of the following full-day, face-to-face or distance learning courses:
- SMART Response™ Training
- SMART Classroom Suite™ Training
- SMART Table™ Training
After completing the core courses, participants complete the following six self-paced courses:
- SMART Slate WS200 Level 2 Technical Training
- Best Practices for Technology Implementation
- SMART Document Camera 330 Level 2 Technical Training
- SMART USB Audio Level 2 Technical Training
- SMART Table Interactive Learning Center Level 1 Technical Training
- Education Software Installer 2011 Level 1 Technical Training (for either Mac or Windows)
Finally, participants choose 2 of the following live online courses:
- SMART Board 800 Series Interactive Whiteboard Level 1 Technical Training
- SMART Response Interactive Response System Level 1 Technical Training
- SMART Board 600 Series Technical Training Level 1
After successfully completing six product training courses, participants must pass the cumulative assessment to receive certification. This well-rounded certification also includes just the right amount of technical training to ensure you have a complete skill set when working with SMART’s interactive products.
