If you or your organization provides training on SMART products, then consider SMART Classroom Suite Certification Training. SMART Classroom Suite Certification Training goes beyond the basics with extensive hands-on training that enables you to train others effectively. The credential you will receive gives you the required skills to deliver high-quality training for the SMART Classroom Suite software.

Pre-Requisites

Participants must be an approved SMART Certified Trainer in SMART Notebook 10 software and SMART Response software prior to attending this training.

Who should attend?

SMART Training Certification for Classroom Suite is for K-12 instructors and education trainers who want to train people on the use of SMART Classroom Suite.

What to expect

This program includes pre- and post-session requirements that must be completed before you receive your SMART Certified Trainer designation. There are also ongoing requirements to maintain your designation.

Pre-session Requirements

• Participants must have solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system

• Participants must be SMART Certified Trainers for SMART Notebook software and the SMART Response interactive response system

Post-session Requirements

• All participants must successfully complete an online certification assessment

Ongoing Requirements

• SMART Certified Trainers may be required to successfully complete an annual online assessment to maintain their designation

Materials

Learning Materials

• A SMART Classroom Suite Learner Workbook – the learner’s reference tool during the training session

• A USB storage device, loaded with materials for learners to use during and after the session

• A Teaching with SMART Classroom Suite summary poster to help guide your use of SMART Classroom Suite

Facilitation Materials

• A SMART Classroom Suite Facilitators Guide – the comprehensive guide for delivering a SMART Classroom Suite Training Session

• A Trainer Resource CD, which includes demonstration files, training presentation files and product User’s Guides

After successfully completing the online certification assessment, SMART Certified Trainers have access to electronic versions of the learning materials – and rights to distribute them to training customers. SMART Certified Trainers may also purchase production-quality learner materials directly from SMART.

Benefits of SMART Certification Training

Upon completion of the course and final approval from the SMART Certification Trainer, you will be certified to deliver full-day SMART Training sessions on SMART Classroom Suite.

You will receive guided instruction and practice facilitating the SMART Classroom Suite Training session

• You will receive a certificate, a letter of completion and logos that indicate your designation

• You can purchase or download SMART’s learner workbooks

• You will be listed as a SMART Certified Trainer on SMART’s website

• You can market yourself as a SMART Certified Trainer for SMART Classroom Suite

Customer Requirements

• A room that will comfortably hold 15 participants

• SMART Board interactive whiteboard (necessary for the trainer to deliver the presentation

• Facilitator computer (provided by the facilitator). The facilitator computer must connect to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. If your network security prohibits connection of an outside computer, a facilitator computer must be provided

• Speakers (attached to the facilitator computer or SMART Board interactive whiteboard) One computer per learner (1:1 ratio)

• Every computer must have both student and teacher versions of SMART Classroom Suite installed for this training session. All computers must have the same (most current) version of SMART Classroom Suite installed. Student components must be installed to run in Visible mode

• All computers must have a Microsoft Windows operating system

• All computers must be connected within a LAN – wired or wireless. A 10 Mbps TCP/IP network interface adapter is required

• A commercial grade router

• All computers must have the most recent version of Adobe Flash installed

• Internet access
