Learn how to use SMART Classroom Suite to teach effectively in a classroom.
Pre Requisites
You are expected t o know how to use SMART Notebook software to create interactive lesson activities that include SMART Response questions prior to taking this course. You are also expected to know how to set-up SMART Response software and deliver and evaluate SMART Response assessments. As such, we require all participants to have previously attended a Level 1 Notebook software training session and a SMART Response Full Day training session.

You will receive
- A SMART Classroom Suite Training Learner Workbook that includes reference material and step-by-step instructions for every task you will learn during the session
- A USB storage device, loaded with materials for use during and after the session. You will take home videos and materials to reinforce your learning and help you teach your students how to use SMART Classroom Suite
- A Teaching with SMART Classroom Suite summary poster to help guide your use of SMART Classroom Suite when you return to your classroom

Session Contents
- Introduction to SMART Classroom Suite: Learn what a SMART Classroom Suite environment looks like, which software components you and your students use, your role in setting up SMART Classroom Suite and how and when to start SMART Sync and SMART Response CE classes
- Learning with SMART Classroom Suite: Learn how to teach your students to take notes and complete assignments, organize assignments, complete assessments, ask questions and submit work Creating Lessons for Use with SMART Classroom Suite: Learn how to create student-versions of lessons, create lessons that support student work and create short-answer questions
- Teaching with SMART Classroom Suite: Learn how to use SMART Classroom Suite to instruct the whole class, distribute files, monitor and support student work, and collect student work
- Assessing Students with SMART Classroom Suite: Learn how to use SMART Classroom Suite to deliver pre-created and instant questions
- Integrating SMART Classroom Suite Into Your Classroom: Consolidate the main concepts of the session and learn how to access the additional resources that SMART provides to support your use of SMART Classroom Suite
Customer Requirements
- All participants must have basic computer-use skills and have completed SMART Notebook Level 1 Training and SMART Response Training prior to attending this session
- SMART Board interactive whiteboard (necessary for the trainer to deliver the presentation)
- Facilitator computer (provided by facilitator). The facilitator computer must connect to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. If your network security prohibits connection of an outside computer, one must be provided
- Speakers (attached to the facilitator computer or SMART Board interactive whiteboard)
- One computer per learner (1:1 ratio)
- Every computer must have both student and teacher versions of SMART Classroom Suite installed for this session. All computers must have the same version (most current) of SMART Classroom Suite installed. Student components must be installed to run in Visible mode
- All computes must have Microsoft Windows operating system only
- All computers must be connected within a LAN – wired or wireless. A 10 Mbps TCP/IP network interface adaptor is required
- A commercial grade router
- All computers must have the most recent version of Adobe Flash installed
- Internet access
