If you or your organization provides training on SMART products, then consider SMART Ideas Certification Training. SMART Ideas Certification Training goes beyond the basics with extensive hands-on training that enables you to train others effectively. The credential you will receive gives you the required skills to deliver high-quality training for the SMART Ideas concept-mapping software.
What to expect
- A comprehensive review of the SMART Training Session Facilitator’s Guide, providing a module-by-module walk-through of a SMART training session, complete with instructions on how to convey key points
- An opportunity to role-play, practice sections of a SMART training session and receive personal feedback from a SMART Training Specialist
- An explanation of support materials and services available from SMART to help you stay ahead of the curve on product knowledge
- At the end of this program, participants are certified to run a 90-minute, half-day or full-day SMART Ideas session
Materials
Participants will receive the following materials:
- SMART Training Facilitators Guide – the complete reference for delivering a SMART training session
- Resources CD-ROM – includes sample files, and other templates to accompany your training sessions
Pre- and post-certification requirements
- Applicants must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Macintosh computers
- Participants will be undertaking an online assessment in our Learning Management System to achieve the certification
- All SMART Certified Trainers will be required to take an annual recertification assessment to maintain their certification

Upon completion of the course and final approval from the SMART Certification Trainer, you will receive the following benefits:
- Special listing on the SMART website as a SMART Certified Trainer for SMART Ideas concept-mapping software

- Access to a SMART Certified Trainer resource website with materials to assist in your deliver
Customer Requirements
- All participants should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Macintosh operating systems
- A room that will comfortably hold 15 participants and an instructor
- One computer with SMART Sync teacher-station software and Quiz Wizard
- One computer per two participants with SMART Ideas concept-mapping software installed (1:2 ratio). The recommended ratio is (1:1)
- SMART Board interactive whiteboard (necessary for the Trainer to deliver presentation)
- Internet access (recommended but not required)
- Access to a computer network (recommended but not required)
