Learn how to design lesson activities in Notebook collaborative learning software by adding style and incorporating interactive content at a full-day professional development private session.
What to Expect?
- This session is led by a SMART Training Specialist who works with SMART products every day. By the end of this session you’ll be comfortable creating and organization lessons using the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and Notebook software 10
- You will receive a Notebook software learner workbook that includes reference material, step-by-step activities and review exercises. The workbook is used during the session and is an excellent future refernce.
- You will have time to ask questions and create interactive lesson activities
The Module – agenda and content?
An on site training session includes morning and afternoon breaks, a one-hour lunch and the following distinct learning modules:
- Intermediate design in Notebook software: Learn how Notebook software can help you to structure lessons more effectively. Use new tools and add rich media content to lesson activities
- Delivering lessons and leveraging interactive tools: Learn best practices for teaching with an interactive whiteboard. Discover the differences between using Notebook software to create presentations in advance and using the software spontaneously in your classroom
- Tools for assessing student learning: Review the science of evaluation and assessment, and build assessment activities. Learn how to use Notebook software in your formative and summative evaluations of your students and their work
- Additional resources: Find out how SMART supports you with a number of resources, including free training materials and an online community
Who Should Attend?
- Users of SMART Board interactive whiteboards who have completed Notebook software 10 training Level 1 or have been comfortably using Notebook 10 with a SMART Board for a least one year
- K-12 instructions, higher education instructors and corporate trainers
Customer Requirements
- All participants should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Macintosh operating systems
- A computer lab environment that comfortably holds up to 15 participants and an instructor
- One computer per two participants (1:2 ratio). The recommended ratio is 1:1
- A front- or rear-projection SMART Board interactive whiteboard, Sympodium interactive pen display or SMART Board for Flat-Panel Displays interactive whiteboard
- A Digital projector or plasma if using a SMART Board for Flat-Panel Display interactive whiteboard
- Access to the Internet
