If your organization provides training on SMART products, then consider SMART Training Certification. SMART Training Certification goes beyond the basics with extensive hands-on instruction that enables you to deliver high quality training on the SMART Table interactive learning center.

Who should attend?

SMART Training Certification for the SMART Table interactive learning center is for K-3 instructors and education trainers who want to train people on the use of the SMART Table.

What’s the value of the SMART Training Certification?

Upon the successful completion of this program, you will be certified to deliver full-day SMART training sessions on the SMART Table.

• You will receive guided instructions, and practice facilitating the SMART Table Training session
• You will receive a certificate, a letter of completion and logos that indicate your designation
• You can purchase or download SMART Learn Workbooks
• You will be listed as a SMART Certified Trainer on the SMART website
• You can market yourself as a SMART Certified Trainer for the SMART Table

What should I expect?

• One day of basic SMART Table end-user training. As a certification candidate, you will use this day to review or learn how to use the SMART Table. You will also observe the sequence, emphasis and delivery method that a SMART Certified Trainer uses to facilitate this training session
• One day of SMART Table Certification training. You will receive facilitation material, coaching and practice that will help you deliver the high-quality SMART Table Training sessions your customers expect from a SMART Certified Trainer

What are the requirements to be a SMART Certified Trainer?

This program includes pre- and post-session requirements that must be completed before you receive your SMART Certified Trainer designation. There are also ongoing requirements to maintain your designation.

Pre-Session Recommendations

• Participants must have solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system
• Participants are recommended to be SMART Certified Trainers for SMART Notebook collaborative learning software or have a solid working knowledge of Notebook.

Post-Session Requirements

• All participants must successfully complete an online certification assessment

Ongoing Requirements

• SMART Certified Trainers may be required to successfully complete an annual online assessment to maintain their designation

What materials do I receive?

Learning Materials

• A SMART Table Training Learner Workbook – the learner’s reference tool during the training session

Facilitator Materials

• A SMART Table Training Facilitator’s Guide – the comprehensive guide for delivering a SMART Table Training session
• A CD, which includes demonstration files, training presentation files and product User’s Guides

After successfully completing the online certification assessment, SMART Certified Trainers can access electronic versions of the learning materials, and have rights to distribute them to training customers. SMART Certified Trainers can also purchase production-quality learner materials directly from SMART.

Customer Requirements

• All participants must have basic computer skills prior to attending this session
• A SMART Board interactive whiteboard (necessary for the trainer to deliver the presentation)
• At least one SMART Table interactive learning center for the session
• A facilitator computer (provided by the facilitator). The computer must connect to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. If your network security prohibits connection of an outside computer, a facilitator computer must be provided
• Speakers (attached to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard)
• One computer per learner (1:1 ratio)
• Every computer must have the SMART Table Toolkit and SMART Notebook collaborative learning software installed for this training session
• Learners should bring specific lesson ideas that apply to SMART Table activities, so they can have something to work on during the session and take home
• All computers running Microsoft Windows operating system
• All computers connected within a LAN – wired or wireless. A 10 Mbps TCP/IP network interface adapter is required
• All computers running the most recent version of Adobe Flash
• Internet access
