IMPORTANT:  

• If you don't enter a product key during installation, you start a 30-day software trial. You can enter product keys at any time after installation.
• You can retrieve your SMART Notebook product key if you've already registered your eligible SMART product.

See below to determine what you need in order to activate your software.

• SMART Notebook software
  Register your eligible SMART hardware product to receive a product key.

• SMART Response software (VE or CE)
  A product key is provided when you purchase the software from your authorized SMART reseller. SMART Response CE software product keys also activate SMART Notebook SE (Student Edition) software.

• SMART Response software (PE, LE, XE or Senteo)
  No product key is required. After you install SMART Response software, connect your SMART Response receiver to your computer to activate the software.

• SMART Notebook Math Tools software
  Purchase the software from your authorized SMART reseller.

• 3D Tools for SMART Notebook software
  A product key is provided when you purchase the software from your authorized SMART reseller.
  OR
  If you have a SMART Document Camera, no product key is required. After you install the software, connect your document camera to your computer to activate Mixed Reality Tools, which includes 3D Tools for SMART Notebook software.

• SMART Sync software 
  A product key is provided when you purchase the software from your authorized SMART reseller.

• SMART Classroom Suite software
  A product key is provided when you purchase the software from your authorized SMART reseller. This product key also activates SMART Notebook SE  software on student computers.

• SMART Product Drivers
  No product key is required.

 IMPORTANT:

• Do not install SMART Notebook 11 software on a SMART Table interactive learning center. The table supports only SMART Notebook 10.8 software.
• If you have SMART Notebook 10 software or earlier or SMART Product Drivers 10 or earlier, remove them before you install the latest version.
• Some components of the Education Software Installer require an Internet connection.

To install SMART software on client computers using the Education Software Installer

1. Download the SMART Install Manager below and install it on your computer.

2. Download the Education Software Installer 2012 below.

3. Install the following software below on client computers connected to your network. The installation files for this software are included in the Education Software Installer 2012 download's support folder:

   • Windows Installer 4.5 (on the server and client computers)

   • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile

   • Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Office 

   • Adobe Flash Player 11.1 (if Adobe Flash Player 11.1 or later isn't already installed)

4. In SMART Install Manager, open the Education Software Installer MSI, and then configure the installation package.
   
    NOTES:

   • You can include product keys with the installation package to activate the software when you deploy it, but if you don't include them at this time a 30-day software trial starts.

   • You can enter product keys at any time after installation.

   • See the System administrator's guide for information on configuring the software for deployment to computers on your network.

5. Install the Education Software installer 2012 across your network.

6. Download the Education Software Installer 2012 SP1 .zip folder.

7. Unzip the folder, and then deploy CommonFiles_11_1_x_1.msp  and notebook11_sp1.msp to all SMART software users across your network.

8. Deploy the remaining MSP files across your network as required.
