Issue
When you connect your SMART Response receiver, the Found New Hardware Wizard appears.
Cause
The receiver drivers didn't register when you or your system administrator installed SMART Classroom Suite Teacher software. This is a known issue.
Solution
Follow these instructions.
To ensure that the receiver drivers register (64-bit operating system)
-
Open a Command Prompt window.
-
Type the following command:
“[INSTALLDIR]\Drivers\DPInstx64.exe” /S /SA /F /PATH
“[INSTALLDIR]\Drivers\XEReceiverSupport”
Where [INSTALLDIR] is the location of the SMART Classroom Teacher folder. For example, by default, [INSTALLDIR] is C:\Program Files (x86)\SMART Technologies\SMART Response.
-
Press ENTER.
Windows Installer registers the receiver drivers.
