Use your SMART Product Update (SPU) to automatically upgrade to the latest version.
To upgrade SMART Notebook
- Open any SMART software program.
- Click Help > Check for Updates.
- Click the Update button beside SMART Notebook.
SMART Notebook updates automatically.
Note: If you don't see the Check for Updates option, contact your network administrator.
New customers
Follow the steps below to download and activate SMART Notebook 10.6.

Obtain a product key to activate SMART Notebook 10.6.
- Download SMART Notebook software, either by clicking the Download button below or the link in the e-mail you received from SMART when you registered for a product key.
- During the installation process, enter the product key you received from SMART.
NOTE: If you don't obtain a product key, you can use SMART Notebook 10.6 for 30 days.
System Requirements
To add the Lesson Activity Toolkit to the SMART Notebook software Gallery, computers running the windows operating system must be using SMART Notebook software 9.5 service pack 5 (indicated as vesion 9.5.91.5) or later.
Download Instructions
Download the appropriate .zip file below and copy the contents of the unzipped folder to a CD or DVD. To install the Lesson Activity Toolkit, double-click the .gallerycollection file and follow the on-screen instructions.
