SMART is committed to sourcing components and materials from companies that share our values on human rights, ethics, and environmental responsibility. We’re diligent about working with suppliers that source conflict-free minerals.

All our suppliers and sub-suppliers must sign our Supplier Code of Conduct, which requires adherence to acceptable working conditions, human rights, health and safety, and environmental and ethical standards.

SMART is committed to reducing our environmental impact.  The first step on this journey is setting a rigorously measured baseline certified by a third party.

We want to share our journey with you.  Here are SMART’s environmental performance reports.  They cover Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions and water use.  They have been independently verified by UL®, one of the world’s most trusted names in certification.

Our products undergo rigorous Accelerated Life Testing for extreme temperature, humidity, and voltage testing. This means our products break less, lowering e-waste and reducing CO2 emissions caused by unnecessary replacement manufacturing and shipping.
