Toledo, 23 March 2023 - The Government of Castilla-La Mancha and SMART Technologies have signed a protocol of intent for the installation in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) of a world centre for technological solutions applied to the field of social services. This will involve an investment of around 15 million euros and the creation of 50 highly qualified jobs.
Ruiz Molina, the Minister of Finance and Public Administrations, explained that this centre will dedicate itself to the development of new hardware and software products applied to the field of social services, as well as to provide training for professionals in the sector, mainly those who work in nursing homes.
The counselor recalled that this multinational already has a Centre for Technology Applied to Education (CTAE) in Talavera de la Reina and has expressed the regional government's satisfaction that SMART Technologies has once again chosen Castilla-La Mancha to develop "a new initiative that is going to provide us with more innovative capacity and greater technological knowledge”.
"Satisfaction for three reasons," continued the head of the Treasury and Public Administration: the first, "because this decision will promote technological innovation in our region", the second, “because we highlight the importance of public-private collaboration", and the third, "because this decision will generate stable and highly qualified employment".
